General Session 2 - B.E.L.I.E.V.E.! Me, You Know Your Why: Now it is Time for the How!
Our world has forever changed. Now more than ever your role as a leader must be one of Innovative Game Changer. Ambassadors of Change. Ambassadors of Equity in Education. Ambassadors of Quality in ALL Education. Ambassadors of Compassion. Ambassadors of Empathy through Cultural Responsiveness. No one understands these roles more than school leaders. Administrators have been understanding and getting back to their “Whys” for a while; especially through this last year. However, knowing one’s “Why” in the new age of education is no longer enough. It is the start of the beautiful education. It is now time to focus on the “HOW." Along the way, because of the demands of being in education in the time of Covid19, our calling was challenged. Our “Why” was challenged. Our “How” was the most challenged. We learned too quickly without the “How,” education can turn into compliance and complacency thus compromising our passion. This upcoming school year, educators must be inspired by HOW more than any other time in educational history. You will laugh, cry, get angry, and get ready to be the change. Use your “Why” to find amazing “How’s” and reignite the passion of leading through new and innovative ways to reach and teach ALL students! Let us inspire, motivate, empower, and elevate our Nebraska Edleaders to be the CREDucators, role models, literacy king and queens, and innovators of Nebraska’s tomorrow!
