B.E.L.I.E.V.E.! In Equity: Opening Eyes and Hearts to Elevate Effective Education of All

This highly reflective session gets participants ready to engage in critical and courageous conversations. Using research from adult learning and emotional intelligence, participants will engage in opening activities that “open up” the brain for quality dialogue. Our world has changed. Now more than ever our role as educators must be one of understanding our role as advocates for children and ambassadors of change. Participants will have eye-opening “checks” on the differences of equal and equitable education and how to recognize, analyze and differentiate to ensure equity over equality in our classrooms of ALL. Let us recognize the successes of our students by embracing differences in culture, learning styles (that can fall under the umbrella of culture), as well as “checking ourselves” by learning how to be an educator of “reflequity!”
