Learn how Cardinal Community Learning Centers (CCLC) in Crete is rebuilding an afterschool program to better serve their students and families. In only one year, a series of innovative changes have led to remarkable improvements in enrichment learning, while a ‘back to the basics’ approach established a collaborative and productive workplace. The CCLC Director will discuss the following topics: alignment to the school day, experiential learning opportunities, safety, nutrition, student voice/choice, staff support and accountability, family engagement, community partnerships, and grant funding.
